38 imagesPictures of the Week Week 9 2023 • The week began with Liverpool's U19's knocking out FC Porto on penalties to reach the Quarter-Final of the UEFA Youth League. • The same night, under the Anfield floodlights, the Reds continued their resurgence beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 with goals from Darwin Núñez and Virgil van Dijk and another excellent performance from Spanish youngster Stefan Bajcetic. • Over in Manchester, legendary European Cup winning manager Rafael Benitez was at the City of Manchester Stadium to see Phil Foden open the scoring in a 2-0 win over Newcastle United before City's 6'4" Erling Haaland decided to take on Newcastle 6'6" Dan Burn. • The highlight of the week came at Anfield where Liverpool humiliated, demolished and eviscerated Manchester United 7-0, a record defeat for the devils. Goals from Cody Gakpo, Darwin Núñez, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

26 imagesPictures of the Week Week 10 - 2023 • Liverpool's first team, Under-21's, and senior Women's teams all ventured down south with mixed results. Playing in green the U21's with ten-men got a late winner against Arsenal, the Women, also in green lost to Arsenal and the less said about the senior's men's game at Bournemouth, and Mo Salah's penalty miss, the better. • It was UEFA Champions League week. Chelsea got past Borussia Dortmund in a game seemingly dominated by smoke bombs, whilst Tottenham crashed out to AC Milan by failing to score in a dull game in North London. • Everton managed to get a vital three points with a 1-0 win over Brentford. • Manchester United, fresh from their 7-0 humiliation at Anfield ground out a goal-less draw with Southampton after going down to 10 men as Casimiro was sent off.

24 imagesPictures of the Week Week 11 - 2023 • Manchester City began the week with their manager walking into the press conference in a £550 hoodie, and the next day smashing 7 past Leipzig with Erling Haarland scoring five. They end the week with another Haaland hat-trick. • Liverpool venture to Madrid with hopes of another magical European night but boss Jürgen Klopp eventually waves goodbye to the Champions League. • Liverpool women begin their preparations for the Merseyside Derby, which will be played at Goodison Park, whilst the Reds' men's Under-21's claim a 3-2 win at Blackburn Rovers.

Katie Stengel grabbed an equaliser for a 1-1 draw in the Super League. • Wales travelled to Croatia. Nathan Broadhead netted in injury time to seal an unexpected and vital point in Split. • A special day at Anfield saw the Legends roll into town as Liverpool took on Glasgow Celtic. The highlight was seeing Steve Gerrard back in a Red shirt on the hallowed turf.

20 imagesPictures of the Week Week 31 - 2023 • Liverpool continue their pre-season in Asia with games and events in Singapore, beating Leicester 4-0 and losing 4-3 to Bayern Munich. • The English season's "curtain raiser" sees Arsenal win the Community Shield after beating Man City on penalties.

19 imagesPictures of the Week Week 32 - 2023 • The beginning of the new season. Liverpool complete their preseason with a game against lesser known German side SV Darmstadt. Despite losing the Germans celebrate with their supporters in the stands after the game. • Liverpool travel to London and are the first opponents for Chelsea's new manager Mauricio Pochettino. Despite taking the lead they draw 1-1 with a fairly unhappy Mohamed Salah being substituted. • The Premier League curtain raising fixture saw Man City's Erling Haaland score two first-half goals, before being berated by manager Guardiola and then subbed in the 2nd half. City ran out 3-0 winners. • Everton's season started in familiar fashion, losing 1-0, with Fulham taking the three points at Goodison Park.

17 imagesPictures of the Week Week 34 - 2023 • Liverpool Under-21's ran out easy winners on the south coast beating Southampton 3-0. • Man Utd's stuttered start to the season looked to be getting even worse as they went 2-0 down inside 5 minutes to Notts Forest before grabbing victory with a penalty. • Liverpool's Darwin Núñez stole the show at St James' Park as the Reds, down to ten men due to the usual pathetic standard of British referees, game back with a 94th minute winner. Substitute Núñez netting twice in the dying moments of a game the Saudi's should have won.
